We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  1. Connecting Drivers with Customers: We use personal information to connect drivers with customers and merchants for delivery services through the Kwenda mobile and web platforms.

  2. Geolocation Analysis: Geolocation and driving route data are processed to analyze geographical areas and provide route suggestions to drivers.

  3. Identity Verification: Drivers license, identification documents, and criminal history data are used to verify your identity and ensure compliance with legal requirements.

  4. Displaying Driver Information: We display your photo, name, and vehicle details to customers and merchants to identify you and your vehicle.

  5. Efficiency and Ratings: We provide summaries of your performance and ratings as a driver to maintain a reliable service for passengers.

Legal Basis for Processing

We process personal data based on the following legal grounds:

  • Performance of Contract: Personal data is processed to fulfill the contract between the driver and Kwenda.

  • Legitimate Interest: Personal data may be processed to investigate and detect fraudulent payments.

Sharing Your Information

Your personal information is shared with customers and merchants when you accept their orders. They will have access to your name, vehicle details, phone number, photo, and geolocation data. We ensure that the processing of personal data by customers and merchants adheres to the same conditions outlined in this Privacy Policy.

Security and Access

We prioritize the security of your personal data. Only authorized partners and employees have access to this information, which is used solely for resolving issues related to our services. Your personal data may be transferred to and processed in the United Kingdom, subject to access requests from governments, courts, or law enforcement agencies in accordance with Pakistani law.

Processing Passenger Personal Data

Drivers are prohibited from processing passenger personal data without our permission. You must adhere to the rules and conditions for processing passenger data as outlined in the Privacy Notice for Kwenda users (https://kwenda.co.uk/contact ). Violation of these rules may result in the termination of your drivers account and potential legal action.

Access, Correction, Retention, Deletion, and Data Portability

  • You can view and correct your personal data within the Kwenda Driver Platform.
  • Your personal data is stored as long as your drivers account is active. If your account is closed, personal data will be retained for an additional 6 months.
  • Data required for accounting purposes will be stored for 2 years.
  • In cases of administrative or criminal offenses, fraud, or false information, data will be retained for 5 years.
  • In disputes, data will be retained until the claim is resolved or until the claims expiration date.

You can request the deletion and transfer of personal data by emailing admin@kwenda.co.uk, specifying the data deletion and transfer period.

Location Information

For drivers, we collect precise location data while you use the Kwenda Driver app for the entire duration of a ride, from the moment it is requested until it concludes.

Dispute Resolution

Disputes related to the processing of personal data can be resolved through our customer support at admin@kwenda.co.uk.

Kwendas Services are not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. Children below the age of 18 are not allowed to book a ride with Kwenda independently. To book a ride, they must be accompanied by an adult who is at least 21 years old. We do not knowingly collect or store personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete such information from our records.
